By the present petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No. 295/2025 dated 16.06.2025, registered at Police Station Tilak Nagar, for offences under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.

The FIR was registered pursuant to a complaint made by Respondent No. 2 stating that Petitioner No. 1, who is the husband of Respondent No.2, under the influence of alcohol, used to beat her and on 16.10.2024, pursuant to the beatings, her hand was also fractured. It is further alleged that on 06.11.2024, Respondent No.2 got to know that Petitioner No.1 had relations with another woman and when she confronted Petitioner No.1 about the same, he allegedly beat her at a public road. 3.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no allegations have been made against Petitioner Nos. 2 & 3, who The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. She submits that the allegations against Petitioner No. 1 are also frivolous.

Concededly, the investigation is still not complete. 6.
Perusal of the FIR indicates that allegations of cruelty were made only against Petitioner No. 1.

Therefore, this Court fails to understand as to why the present petition seeking quashing of FIR has been filed on behalf of Petitioner Nos. 2 & 3.

Undisputedly, if no offence is made out, the Police will not file the chargesheet against Petitioner Nos. 2 & 3. 9.
In regard to Petitioner No. 1, whether any cruelty was inflicted on the complainant or not, is the subject matter of further investigation and cannot be commented upon at such an early stage.

The investigation is still at a nascent stage, and therefore, this Court does not consider it apposite to impede further investigation and entertain the present petition at this stage. 11.
The present petition is, therefore, disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to approach this Court in case any grievance remains in future. Pending application also stands disposed of. AMIT MAHAJAN, J DECEMBER 3, 2025 'KDK'
