By way of the present petition, the petitioners seek quashing of the FIR bearing No. 179/2025, registered at Police Station Patparganj Industrial Area, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 115/126(2)/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (hereafter 'BNS') and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of settlement arrived at between the parties.

All the petitioners and respondent nos. 2 are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned, Police Station, Patparganj Industrial Area, Delhi. 6.
Brief facts of the case are that on 22.03.2024, due to some misunderstanding, various differences, disputes and issues had arisen between the petitioners and the respondent no. 2. Upon the complaint by respondent no. 2, the present FIR came to be registered against the petitioners. It is stated that there are also other cross-FIRs bearing nos. 502/2025, 498/2025 & 207/2025 registered between the parties. It is further stated that with intervention of the family and friends, the parties have now amicably settled their disputes vide Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dated 07.11.2025.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 who has been identified by the IO, have categorically stated that he has entered into compromise out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, he has no objection if the present FIR is. 8.
In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 9.

emanating therefrom are quashed subject to the petitioners depositing a sum of Rs. 10,000/- with the Delhi High Court Bar Association Advocates' Welfare Trust and the compliance report of the same be filed with the Registry of this Court within a period of two weeks from date. 10.
