The Petitioner in this case is holding a Certificate of Vending bearing no. URI: 8018846 (hereinafter, 'COV') under the provisions of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood & Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 (hereinafter, 'Street Vendors Act, 2014').

The Petitioner's vending cart was seized by the Delhi Police, alleging that the Petitioner was vending on the roadside, which is creating an impediment in the smooth flow of traffic.

Pursuant to the order of the Court dated 3rd December, 2025, the cart of the Petitioner was released to him by the Delhi Police. Thereafter, Delhi Police was to file a status report in this matter. The status report is taken on record.

A fresh status report has been filed by the SHO-Inspector Ramesh Kaushik, PS Roop Nagar, Delhi, as per which an FIR has been registered against the Petitioner being FIR No. 311/2025, PS Roop Nagar on the ground that he was found repeatedly vending in a non-vending zone. Some photographs have also been annexed with the status report. 6.

Ld. Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner undertakes that he would not vend in a non-vending zone. Hence, she prays that the Petitioner be permitted to continue with his vending activity. 7.

In view of the undertaking by the ld. Counsel for Petitioner, he shall be permitted to vend peacefully, and he shall continue to abide by terms and conditions of his CoV.

No further orders shall be called for in this matter. 9.

All rights and remedies of the Petitioner in respect of the FIR No. 311/2025 registered against him are left open. 10.

The petition is disposed of in said terms. Pending applications, if any, are also disposed of.
