This is a second writ petition filed on behalf of the petitioner for issuance of directions to respondent to count the period spent on interim suspension of sentence from 28.10.2020 to 20.11.2021 towards his sentence. 2.

Similar petition was filed by the petitioner vide W.P.(CRL) 3340/2024 and the said petition was disposed of vide order dated 17.07.2025 with direction that the said writ petition be treated as a representation by the competent authority of the respondent and the appropriate decision be taken within 04 weeks and the decision be communicated to the petitioner within a week thereafter.

taken despite the grant of 04 weeks time.

Learned ASC who appears for the State seeks 02 weeks more time for deciding the representation.

Petition is disposed of by granting additional 02 weeks time to the competent authority to decide the representation of the petitioner with further direction to communicate the decision taken to the petitioner within a week thereafter.

Needless to say that if aggrieved by such decision, the petitioner would be within his right to file appropriate proceedings. 7.

Copy of this order be sent to the Superintendent Jail for information and necessary compliance.
