The petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereafter 'the Act'), inter alia, praying that the time for making the award be extended by a further period of six months from 07.04.2018. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent joins the learned counsel for the petitioner in making the aforementioned prayer.

The learned counsel appearing for the parties further state that the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of final arguments; the arguments on

behalf of the claimant/petitioner have been concluded. They also state that the Arbitral Tribunal has been acting with due despatch. 4.

In view of the aforesaid submissions, the petition is allowed. The time for making the award is extended for a further period of six months form 07.04.2018, that is, upto 06.10.2018.
