Through the present petition, the petitioners seek following directions: (a) Police protection to life and property of the petitioners (b) Registration of FIR based on written complaints, and (c) Investigation be transferred to and/or supervised by a higher authority, at least of the rank of ACP or any other independent officer. 2.
Mr. Manoj Godara, learned counsel for the petitioners, submits that he does not wish to press prayers (b) and (c) of the petition. 3.
In view thereof, this Court deems it appropriate to consider prayer (a) alone.

The present petition, filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeks directions to respondent nos. 1 to 4 for protection of the life and liberty of the petitioners.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have been repeatedly subjected to violent, life-threatening assaults, criminal intimidation, and attempts of illegal dispossession by respondent no. 5, along with certain unknown women accomplices, who, on 16.11.2025, allegedly trespassed into their residence, assaulted petitioner no. 1, vandalised the premises, ransacked belongings, and robbed jewellery, cash and documents, while attempting to forcibly take possession of the property. 6.
It is further submitted that the petitioners have already lodged complaints in this regard with the SHO, PS Dwarka North, New Delhi. 7.
Due to the threat to their life and liberty, both the petitioners are in need of protection. Thus, it is prayed that this Court may grant them protection.

At this stage, Mr. Sanjeev Bhandari, learned Additional Standing Counsel, appearing for the State fairly submits that the petitioners ought to be protected. He submits that SHO/Beat Officer of the concerned area will be sensitized and the petitioners shall be provided with the number of the SHO/Beat Officer, and they will be at the liberty to call the officer as and when they apprehend any threat to their life and liberty. 9.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners, on instructions, has no objection to the submission made by the learned Additional Standing Counsel.

Therefore, in view of the above facts and submissions, let the numbers of SHO/Beat Officers of PS - Dwarka North be provided to the petitioners in the due course of the day so that the petitioners may contact such concerned police officials in case of emergency. 11.

It is made clear that this Court has not made any observations on the merit of the allegations made by the petitioners. 13.
