The petitioner has filed this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, complaining of an obstruction in a service lane adjoining Gyan Valley Global School, Priyadarshini Vihar, B- Block, Laxmi Nagar, New Delhi.

Certain photographs have been annexed to the writ petition as Annexure P-4, which show the installation of some upright poles/pillars at the entrance to the said service lane.

Learned counsel for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi ["MCD"], who appears on advance notice, states that the pillars are unauthorised, and MCD proposes to take necessary action upon lifting of the Graded Response Action Plan - IV restrictions on demolition and construction W.P.(C) 17786/2024 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Having regard to the above submission, the petitioner, who appears in person, does not seek any further orders in the writ petition, which, alongwith the pending application, stands disposed of. 5.
It is made clear that MCD is to act strictly in accordance with law, and after compliance with all statutory formalities. In the event that a notice is required to be served upon any party or a hearing granted to any party, MCD is directed to comply with the same before taking action. MCD will also observe the safeguards outlined in the judgment of the Supreme Court dated 13.11.2024 in In Re: Directions in the matter of demolition of structures [W.P.(C) 295/2022 and connected matters].
