The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution read with Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 seeking direction to the respondent no.1 to grant protection to the petitioners. 4.

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that the petitioners got married on 11.12.2024 as per Hindu Rites and The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Ceremonies at Arya Samaj Mandir, Hardua Ganj, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, contrary to the wishes of their parents, therefore, they are apprehending threat to their life.

The learned counsel invites attention of the Court to the Aadhaar Card which has been annexed as Annexure P-1 to the present petition to contend that the date of birth of the petitioner no.2 is 12.04.2006, therefore, she has attained the age of majority.

In view of the above, issue notice.

Mr. Sanjay Lao, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the State, as well as, Mr. Astik Gupta, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent nos.2 and 3, accept notice.

Mr. Gupta submits that the actual date of birth of the petitioner no.2 is 25.05.2008, therefore, the petitioner no.2 has not attained the age of majority. He further submits that FIR has also been registered at the instance of the respondent no.2 (father of the petitioner no.2) after petitioner no.2 had gone missing.

However, on a query posed by the Court, Mr. Sanjay Lao, on instructions from the IO, submits that as on date, the petitioner no.1 has not been arraigned as an accused.

In view of the above position, the respondent no.1 is directed to share the mobile number of beat constable with the petitioners. In the event, any distress call is received from the petitioners, the same may be attended to on urgent basis in accordance with law.

The respondent nos.2 and 3, who are parents of the petitioner no.2, are present in Court.
