By way of the present petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR bearing no. 263/2017, registered at Police Station Sultanpuri, District NorthWest, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 454/380/411/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC') and its consequential proceedings.

Issue notice. Mr. Rahul Tyagi, the learned ASC accepts notice on behalf of the State.

Brief facts of the present case are that petitioner is the real son of respondent no. 2. On the complaint of respondent no. 2, the present FIR was registered against the petitioner. It is stated that the chargesheet in this case stands filed before the concerned Court. During pendency of the case, both the parties have amicably settled their disputes vide Compromise Deed dated 14.11.2025.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2, who has been identified by the IO, has categorically stated that she has entered into compromise out of her own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Respondent no. 2 further states she has no objection if the present FIR is quashed.

In view of the above fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 7.
Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 263/2017, registered at Police Station Sultanpuri, District North-West, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 454/380/411/34 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, subject to petitioner depositing a sum of Rs.5,000/- with the Delhi High Court Bar Clerk's Association Fund and the compliance report of the same be filed with the Registry of this Court within a period of two weeks from date. 8.
