This is a petition seeking grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in the event of arrest in FIR No. RC0032024A0046/2024 dated 25.11.2024 registered at P.S. CBI/ACB/New Delhi under Section 7 of the PC Act, 1988 and Section 61(2) of BNS.

Mr. Kumar, learned SPP has handed over a reply but at the outset submits orally that the petitioner should approach the Sessions Court in the first instance before approaching the High Court directly. 3.

Mr. Mathur, learned senior counsel states that this Court has concurrent jurisdiction and there is no bar in law for the petitioner to approach this Court.

However, I am of the view that the judicial propriety demands that the petitioner should first approach the Sessions Court and seek appropriate proceedings before the Sessions Court.

Granting the said liberty, the petition and pending applications are disposed of.

Mr. Mathur, learned senior counsel states since the petitioner has not been arrested from 23.12.2024 till date and hence some interim protection be granted to enable the petitioner to approach the concerned Sessions Court. 7.

The same is disputed by Mr. Kumar, who states that the petitioner is evading arrest.

Without getting into the merits of the submission, it is directed that no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioner for a period of only one week from today.

Needless to state that the concerned Sessions Court will proceed in accordance with law, uninfluenced by any observations made by this Court. 10.
