% 19.12.2018 1.This petition has been filed seeking a declaration that the entire land acquisition proceedings in respect of the land comprised in Khasra Nos. 17/4 (4-16), 17/6/1 (3-14), 17/7 (4-16), 17/14 (5-03), 23/18 (3-09), 23/23 (4-16), and 22/24 (4-16) admeasuring 31 bigha 10 biswa situated in the revenue estate of Village Begumpur, Delhi have lapsed in view of Section 24 (2) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation, and Resettlement Act 2013.

2. Notification under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act 1894 was issued on 21st March 2003. The final Award was made on 29th July 2005. No explanation is given for the inordinate delay in approaching the Court for relief.

3. Mr. Ghawana, learned counsel for the Petitioners, on instructions, seeks to

withdraw the present petition with liberty to file a fresh petition giving proper explanation for the delay in approaching the Court.
