CRL.M.C. 10225/2024 1.

This is a petition seeking quashing of F.I.R. No. 103/2023 under Sections 354/436/323/506 IPC registered at PS Maidan Garhi. 2.

It is stated that the parties have arrived at a settlement dated 08.11.2024.

3.

There are allegations of the petitioner manhandling the complainant i.e. her mother-in-law, beating her, as well as using filthy language. In addition, there are also allegations of criminal intimidation as well as mischief of fire.

4.

During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties have arrived at a settlement and respondent No.2 has given an affidavit stating that she has no The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. objection to the quashing of the F.I.R.

5.

Petitioner is present in Court and has been identified by their counsel, Mr. Gautem Singh Narain.

6.

Respondent No. 2 is also present in Court and has been identified by their counsel, Mr. Abdullah Shahid.

7.

Both the parties state that they have entered into the aforesaid settlement out of their own free will, volition and without any threat, force, undue influence or coercion. It is stated by respondent No.2 that she has no objection if the F.I.R. is quashed.

8.

Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending, I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring about peace and would secure ends of justice. The Court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings are permitted to be prosecuted any further. It is a fit case for quashing. 9.

For the reasons stated above, F.I.R. No. 103/2023 under Sections 354/436/323/506 IPC registered at PS Maidan Garhi and all proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.

10.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
