The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent/ MCD to demolish the unauthorized and illegal construction carried out by the respondent no.5 at House No. 1416, Gali Gondni Wali, Kalan Mahal, Daryaganj, Delhi-110002 (hereinafter, 'subject property'). 2.
A status report has been filed on behalf of the respondent/ MCD, wherein it is stated that after following due process of law, demolition order dated 29th December, 2025 was passed by the respondent/ MCD. Pursuant thereto, one RCC panel was demolished at the roof of the ground floor and one RCC panel was demolished at the first floor of the subject property. Further, a watch and ward letter dated 12th March, 2026 was issued to the respondent no.4/ SHO, P.S. Photographs showing the aforesaid demolition action have been filed along with the status report.

It is also stated in the status report that unauthorized construction in the shape of third floor and fourth floor was noticed in the subject property and the same was booked on 11th March, 2026. Further, a show cause notice was issued to the respondent no.5 and a work stop notice was issued to the respondent no.4/ SHO, P.S.
Jama Masjid on 11th March, 2026.
Subsequently, a reply was filed to the show cause notice and personal hearing was fixed for 30th March, 2026.

The status report further mentions that a show cause notice for sealing of the subject property has also been issued on 23rd March, 2026. 5.
Considering the aforesaid action taken on behalf of the respondent/ MCD as detailed in the status report, the present writ petition is disposed of, with a direction that the respondent/ MCD shall take action against the subject property in accordance with law and in an expeditious manner. 6.
In the event the petitioner has any further grievance with regard to the unauthorised construction, he is at liberty to take appropriate remedies in accordance with law.

All rights, contentions and legal remedies of the respondent no.5 are kept open.
