This is a petition under Sections 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('Act of 1996') seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal presided over by sole Arbitrator Mr. Zoheb Hossain in the matter titled as M/s Osho G.S. and Company v. M/s Wapcos Ltd by a period of 3 months w.e.f. 14.12.2024 for completion of arbitral proceedings and making of arbitral award.

Mr. Anurag Kaushik states that the extended time period of 6 months as provided under Section 29A (3) of the Act of 1996 expired on O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 1023/2024 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. 13.12.2024. He states that the pleadings before the Arbitral Tribunal stands complete and the judgment shall be reserved pursuant to conclusion of the final hearing.

Mr. Ajit Sharma, Advocate learned standing counsel for respondent enters appearance and states that he as well, joins the Petitioner's request for extending the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 3 months considering that the proceedings are at an advance stage. 6.

Having considered the averments made in the petition and in view of joint request of the parties, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for completion of arbitral proceedings and for passing an arbitral award is extended by a period w.e.f. 14.12.2024 until 31.03.2025. 7.

The parties are directed to cooperate with the Arbitral Tribunal in a time bound completion and not seek any unnecessary adjournments. 8.

With the aforesaid directions, the petition stands allowed in the above terms.
