The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for seeking issuance of directions to the Respondent Nos. 1 to 4 to investigate the matter and to take appropriate legal action against the wrongdoers (i.e., Respondent Nos. 5 to 8) and other police persons for allegedly threatening, beating, detaining and extorting an amount of Rs. 1,00,000/-.

Mr. Sanjay Lao, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State submits that the Petitioner's employer has filed a complaint with the Station Police Officer ('SHO'), Cyber Police Station on 21.10.2024 and on the basis of this complaint, a Notice to join enquiry was issued to the Petitioner herein on 06.11.2024 as per procedure. He states that investigation has revealed that the Petitioner's IP Address has been used for issuing the e-mails, which are the subject matters of investigation in the complaint dated 21.10.2024. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
2.1 He states that the matter is still under investigation and the written complaint of the Petitioner dated 03.12.2024 filed against the allegedly erring officials has also been duly received. He states that the written complaint dated 03.12.2024 received by the Petitioner has been forwarded to the vigilance Branch, Dwarka and the same is being enquired into. 3.
Learned counsel for the Petitioner states that the Vice President of Hathway Cable and Datacom Ltd. Mr. Bhupesh Waradkar on 31.12.2024 has addressed an e-mail to the Petitioner herein stating that the company has no role to play in the notice received by the Petitioner from Cyber Police Authority.
3.1 He states that the Petitioner thus genuinely believes that the complaint dated 21.10.2024 has not originated from the Hathway Cable and Datacom Ltd.

The Petitioner is directed to handover a copy of the said e-mail dated 03.12.2024 to the Investigating Officer, who will also look into the submissions of the Petitioner.

The Respondent/State is directed to communicate the outcome of the enquiry on the written complaint dated 03.12.2024 to the Petitioner within four (4) weeks.

With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition stands disposed of.

It is clarified that nothing said in this order in expression of opinion on the submissions made by either party.
