This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 97/2023, PS Crime (Women) Cell, Nanak Pura, under Sections 498A/406/354(A)/34 IPC basis settlement dated 09th May 2024 arrived at with the facilitation of the Mediation Centre, Saket Courts, which is on record of this Court. 2.

Petitioner Nos.1-3 and respondent No.2/complainant are present in Court, while petitioner Nos.4 & 5 are present through VC and duly identified by the IO and their respective counsels. 3.

being tendered vide DD No.719637 drawn on State Bank of India to respondent No.2, who has received it in Court and duly acknowledges the same.

Respondent No.2 states that she has no objection to the quashing of the said FIR.

The marriage of petitioner No.1 and respondent No.2 has resulted in a divorce by decree dated 27th November, 2024. No child was born out of wedlock.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 97/2023, PS Crime (Women) Cell, Nanak Pura, under Sections 498A/406/354(A)/34 IPC and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. 7.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 8.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
