O R D E R

The present petition raises a grievance as regards the alleged illegal felling of two trees bearing numbers 229 and 230 erected by the personnel of PWD (respondent no.1) on the service road of sector -7, Rohini, opposite to the respondent no.6 school. The said trees had allegedly been cut down on the instructions of the respondent no.6 school. Regarding the aforesaid incident, the petitioner immediately contacted Delhi Police/ respondent no. 3 and lodged a complaint vide Call ID No. 109263054. He also submitted a written complaint to respondent no. 3, with copies sent to respondents nos. 1, 2, 4, and 5. However, no action was taken. 2.

attention to the fact that in the context of a previous writ petition being W.P. (C) 18405/2025, filed by the petitioner, this court vide order dated 05.12.2025, inter alia, directed as under:

"2. Attention is drawn to the fact that in the context of a previous writ petition being W.P.(C) 3494/2025, filed by the petitioner, this Court vide order dated 20.03.2025 inter-alia, directed as under: "9. In the meantime, the concerned Deputy Chief Conservator of Forests, and the other respondents, including the concerned SHO, PS Mangolpuri, is directed to keep a strict vigil to ensure that there is no illegal cutting of trees in the area in question. In case any incident of cutting of trees occurs, stern action shall be taken by the concerned authority with regard thereto.

10. The petitioner would be at liberty to draw the attention of the concerned authorities with regard to any incident of illegal tree cutting, whereupon immediate steps, in accordance with law, shall be taken by the respondents."

3. Considering the circumstances, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.2 to enquire into the complaint of the petitioner as regards the illegal felling of the old banyan tree and take requisite action in accordance with law.

4. Let the necessary enquiry be conducted expeditiously and the outcome thereof be informed to the petitioner." 3.

In light of the aforementioned order dated 05.12.2025, the respondent no.2 is directed to inquire into the complaint of the petitioner as regards the illegal felling of the aforementioned trees bearing numbers 229 and 230, and thereafter, take requisite action in accordance with law. 4.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms. Pending applications also stand disposed of.
