This matter has been listed today on account of declaration of holiday on 02.03.2026 by notification No. 64/G-4/Gen1.-I/DHC dated 27.02.2026.

The Petitioners aspire to the post of Driver Constable in the Delhi Police. They participated in the recruitment process initiated in the year 2022. However, their candidature was rejected on the ground that they were overage. The Petitioners submitted representations seeking age relaxation under Rule 30 of Delhi Police (Appointment The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Under the interim order passed by the learned Central Administrative Tribunal ('CAT'), the Petitioners were permitted to participate in the written examination. Ultimately, learned CAT allowed the OA filed by the Petitioners and direction was issued to declare the result of the Petitioners.

Learned counsel representing the Respondents submits that even if the Petitioners are granted age relaxation, they have not been able to clear the recruitment examination as their names do not figure in the final merit list.

The learned counsel representing the Respondents is requested to supply a copy of the result to the learned counsel representing the Petitioners during the course of the day.

Keeping in view the aforesaid position, the Writ Petitions are dismissed as infructuous.

A photocopy of the Order passed today be kept in the connected matters.
