The present petition is filed by the petitioner seeking the following reliefs:
"A. Issue an appropriate Writ, Order or Direction in the nature of Mandamus, thereby directing the Respondent Authorities, to take immediate and effective measures to ensure the protection of the life and personal liberty of the Petitioner and his family members, in strict compliance with the constitutional mandate under Article 21 of the Constitution of India; B. Direct the Respondent Authorities to provide round-the-clock police protection to the Petitioner and his immediate family members at both their residential and commercial premises, including the deployment of armed police personnel in and around the area, until such time as the threat perception subsists;

C. Direct the Respondent Authorities to conduct a fair, impartial, and time-bound investigation in respect of FIR bearing No. 0546/2025 registered on 26.11.2025 at Police Station Ashok Vihar, and to take all necessary legal action against the offenders, ensuring accountability for the assaults and the ongoing threat to the Petitioner's life;" 2.
The petitioner has approached this Court seeking directions to the respondent authorities to take immediate steps for protection of him and his family members life and liberty. It is the case of the petitioner that he has been receiving continuous threats on Whatsapp calls from international numbers. The person on call has been threatening the petitioner of serious consequences. Death threats have also been made to the petitioner along with extortion demands.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that on persistent follow up with the police, the petitioner on 26.11.2025 was provided protection and a police constable was assigned to remain present. He submits that the security was subsequently withdrawn on 03.12.2025. He submits that the threats have still not stopped.

The petitioner has also filed recordings of the threats along with the present petition.

The learned ASC for the State appears on advance notice and on instructions states that the police authorities being sensitive towards the entire incident and complaint had initially assigned a constable to remain present with the petitioner. He submits that the threat assessment is being carried out again and appropriate security if required, will be provided to the petitioner. 6.

concerned SHO in case any fresh threat is received. He submits that the mobile number of the concerned SHO will also be provided to the petitioner.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with the aforesaid observations and direction to the respondent to take a decision in regard to the threat perception of the petitioner within a period of one week.

The petitioner is at liberty to approach this Court in case any grievance remains in future.
