This petition has been filed under Section 29A(4) read with Section 29A(5), Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ("A&C Act") for extension of time of the arbitral proceedings by a period of three months. The first preliminary hearing took place on 19th January, 2022. Pleadings were completed on 22nd August, 2022, and thereafter by order dated 14th March, 2024 this Court extended the mandate of the Arbitrator by a period of four months with effect from 28th February, 2024. The said time expired on 30th June, 2024 and a further extension of three months was sought, which was granted by this Court with effect from 01st July, 2024 for a period of six months.

The matter was last listed on 25th September, 2024 before the Arbitral Tribunal and the award was reserved. An oral communication was received from the Arbitral Tribunal seeking extension of time for a further period of three months to render the award. As per the last extension, the time expired on 31st December, 2024.

There is no objection by counsel for the respondent. 5.

Accordingly, the time is extended for a period of three more months with effect from 01st January, 2025.

No further directions are required.

Petition is disposed of, accordingly.
