This is a petition filed under Section 29A (4) & (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitrtor by a period of 6 months for making and publishing of the final Award.

Mr. Bajaj, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that there were some documents which were filed by the petitioner which took some time to collate the original documents and hence, the delay. 3.

Mr. Jain, learned counsel appears on behalf of the respondent and states that the petitioner is delaying the proceedings. 4.

However, I am of the view that the parties are at the stage of evidence and considerable time, effort and energy has been expended towards the arbitration proceedings.

I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. 6.

For the said reasons, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitrator is extended by a period of 6 months from today. 7.

The period from 12.11.2025 till today stands regularised. 8.

Mr. Bakul Jain, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent shall file his vakalatnama within 10 days from today. 9.
