This is a petition filed under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a further period of 1 year to make and publish the final Award.

It is stated that due to voluminous record/documents the matter took some time and hence, the delay.

For the said reasons, issue notice to the respondent. 4.

Mr. Ganguly, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and has no objection to the present petition being allowed. 5.

I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. In view of the aforesaid, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of 1 year from 12.12.2025. 6.
