CRL.M.C. 95/2025 1.

This is a petition seeking quashing of F.I.R No. 115/2021 under Sections 498A/406/34 of IPC registered at Police Station Vikas Puri and all the consequential proceedings emanating therefrom. 2.

The petitioner No. 1 and respondent No. 2 have joined through video conferencing mode and their statements have already been recorded. 3.

It is stated that the parties have arrived at a settlement dated 29.07.2024 pursuant to which the petitioner No. 1 had to pay a total sum of Rs. 13 lakhs to respondent No. 2 and the same has already been paid. 4.

Both parties state that they have entered into the aforesaid settlement out of their own free will, volition and without any threat, force, undue influence or coercion.

5.

It is stated by respondent No. 2 that she has no objection if the present The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 07/03/2025 at 12:27:34

FIR is quashed. In addition, there is no child born out of the wedlock. 6.

I am satisfied that the settlement dated 29.07.2024 before the Mediation Centre, Dwarka Courts, New Delhi is legal, valid and has been executed without any threat, coercion or any undue influence. 7.

Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending between the parties, I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring about peace and would secure ends of justice. The Court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings are permitted to be prosecuted any further. Thus, it is a fit case for quashing the proceedings. 8.

In this view of the matter, F.I.R No. 115/2021 under Sections 498A/406/34 of IPC registered at Police Station Vikas Puri and all the consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed. 9.

The petition is allowed and is disposed of accordingly.
