By way of the present petition, the petitioner seeks the following prayers:

"a) Issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus giving direction(s)/order(s) to the respondent for confinement of the petitioner in semi open prison; in FIR NO.385/2010, U/S 302/216/34 & 201 IPC 25 A. ACT, P.S. Uttam Nagar;

b) Pass such further order(s) as this Hon' ble Court deems fit and proper."

Admittedly, the Petitioner has not approached the respondent authorities by way of any representation and has, in the first instance, chosen to invoke the Writ Jurisdiction of this Court.

The Court cannot exercise its writ jurisdiction in a speculative or anticipatory manner. Hence, this Court does not consider it apposite to pass any order in the present petition.
