By way of the present petition filed under Section 29A(4) & (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of six months for concluding the Arbitral proceedings and passing of the Award. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner informs that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has expired on 30.10.2024. He further submits that previously, the parties had mutually extended the time period of arbitration proceedings by a period of six months vide order dated 03.04.2024, which has now expired.

Learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice and submits that the respondent has no objection to the prayer made in the petition. 5.
At this stage, learned counsels for the parties submit that the parties have already advanced final submissions before the arbitral tribunal and the award stands reserved vide order dated 17.07.2024. 6.
Considering the aforesaid request and the no objection given by the other side, the present petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of six months from 30.10.2024. It is further observed that any proceedings conducted after the expiry of the mandate shall also stand validated and regularised.
