The present petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondents to immediately stop the illegal demolition activity being carried out by the respondents in the property bearing No. B-4, Mansarover Garden, New Delhi-110015.

Today, learned counsel for the respondent-Municipal Corporation of Delhi ("MCD") has handed over to this Court a copy of the order dated 16th December, 2025, issued by the Office of Assistant Engineer (Building), Karol Bagh Zone, under Section 337 of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act ("DMC Act"), 1957, read with Section 15 of the National Green Tribunal Act, 2010 ("NGT Act"), which is taken on record. 3.
Learned counsel for the respondent-MCD submits that the MCD has already issued a notice with regard to stopping the demolition activity. He further submits that since GRAP IV is in force for the time being, no construction or demolition activity can be undertaken. 5.
Considering the aforesaid, it is directed that the Station House Officer ("SHO"), Police Station Kirti Nagar/local police station, shall ensure that no further demolition activity is carried out in the property in question, in view of the GRAP IV restrictions.

Needless to state, as and when the demolition activity is allowed later on, the respondent no. 3 shall carry out the said demolition activity only after taking into consonance all the relevant provisions with regard to safeguarding the premises, so that the general public and persons residing in the surrounding areas are not adversely affected by the demolition activity. 7.
The MCD shall ensure that any demolition activity, subsequently carried out by the respondent no. 3, is proper and in accordance with law. 8.
With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
