The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeks the following prayers:- "a) Directing the Respondent no.1 and 2 to keep the amount deposited along with appeal filed by the Employer/Respondent no.3 in the fixed deposit or any other appropriate banking module accruing interest during the pendency of the appeal; b) Direct the Respondent no.1 and 2 to henceforth keep the similar amounts deposited with it in all appeals under Section 7(7) of the Payment of Gratuity Act 1972 in Fixed deposits or any other appropriate banking module accruing interest during the pendency of the appeals;

c) Directing the Respondent no.1 and 2 to release the principal amount deposited in their account along with interest at the rate of ten percent for the period of deposit in favour of the Petitioner (or succeeding party) at the time of disposal of the appeal;" 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that an application dated 17.04.2025 has been filed before the Appellate Authority under the Payment of Gratuity Act 1972, which has not been decided. 5.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with directions that the application of the petitioner be decided by the competent authority in accordance with law preferably within four weeks from today. 6.

Pending application(s), if any, also stands disposed of. 7.

Copy of this order be sent to the concerned Competent Authority for necessary information and compliance.
