Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed for quashing of FIR No. 0409/2025 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC at P.S. Dwarka North.

Learned Counsel for the Respondents submits that the FIR has been registered only on 04.11.2025 and the investigations are yet to commence. The Petition is therefore premature.

It needs no reiteration that the FIR is only the first step for initiation of enquiry into the allegations made in the FIR which prima facie disclose the cognizable offence which merely the registration of FIR without any further investigation, does not merit any quashing.
