This is a writ petition seeking directions to the respondent to transfer petitioner in Semi-Open Prisons.

Learned counsel of petitioner submits that petitioner has already undergone actual custody of more than 14 years and earned remission of 3 years. Relying upon Rule number 132(e) of Delhi Prisons Rule 2018, he submits that petitioner having already served the aforesaid sentence is eligible to be transferred to semi open jail. 3.

It is further submitted that petitioner filed an application dated 15.09.2025 to the Jail Authority to transfer him to semi-open jail but no orders on such application has been passed.

Since already a request has been made before the competent authority, the present petition is disposed of with direction to the respondent to dispose The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
