The petitioner has filed the present petition as a public interest litigation, inter alia, praying that the directions be issued to respondent nos.3 and 6 to remove illegally parked e-rickshaws and private vehicles. The petitioner has also sought several other reliefs to the effect that action be taken for removal of encroachment and against the errant officials. The petitioner has highlighted an issue relating to the traffic congestion at the Azadpur roundabout, which according to the petitioner is caused due to illegal parking of the vehicles as well as encroachment by the street vendors.

We do not consider it apposite to pass any specific orders except to direct the police authorities to consider the averments made in the present petition and if it is found that certain vehicles are illegally parked, the police authorities are expected to take necessary steps to ensure that the same are removed.

Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is also directed to consider the petitioner's complaint regarding encroachments on right of way (ROW) and if such encroachment is found, to take necessary action in accordance with law.

In so far as the action against errant official is concerned, there is no specific instance that has been brought to the notice of this court. However, we consider it apposite to direct the concerned authorities to also examine the petitioner's complaint in this regard and if the grounds are made out, to take necessary steps.

The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. Pending applications are also disposed of.
