% 09.08.2016 By this petition the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No.857/2015 under Section 376/328/313/506 IPC registered at PS Moti Nagar on the complaint of respondent No.2 on the ground that parties have settled the matter and petitioner and respondent No.2 are now married. Offence under Section 376 IPC being a serious offence, above-noted FIR cannot be quashed in view of the decision of the Supreme Court in Gian Singh Vs. State of Punjab & Anr. (2012) 10 SCC 303. Petition and application are dismissed.
