The present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeking issuance of writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondent no.1 for the production and release of the detenue, namely, Ms. Laxmi.

None is present on behalf of the petitioner.

Status Report dated 15.12.2025 has been submitted during the course of proceedings and the same is taken on record. 4.

The detenue is present in Court and submits that she is 21 years of age and has studied up to 8th standard.

Upon being queried, she submits that she is happily residing with her husband and does not wish to reside with her parents. 6.

Since, the detenue is a major and is competent to take her own independent decisions, no further order is required to be passed in the present writ petition.
