% 15.03.2017 By way of present writ petition, petitioner seeks quashing of final assessment orders dated 13th January, 2017 and 16th January, 2017 passed under Section 126 of the Electricity Act, 2003 as well as speaking orders dated 13th January, 2017, 07th February, 2017 and 13th February, 2017 and the notice dated 15th February, 2017 passed under Section 56(1) of the Electricity Act, 2003 by the respondent.

Since the final assessment orders are appealable under Section 127 of the Electricity Act, 2003, this Court is of the view that the petitioner has an alternative effective remedy. To facilitate filing of appeals, this Court directs that in the event the appeals are filed by the petitioner within two weeks, the same shall not be dismissed on the ground of limitation.

Consequently, present writ petition is disposed of with liberty to file an Appeal under Section 127 of the Electricity Act, 2013. Order dasti.
