This writ petition is preferred on behalf the Petitioner under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India seeking a direction to the Respondent to restore electricity connection at his business premises bearing Shop No.11, Princess Park, New Delhi.

In view of various orders passed by this Court and illustratively, the order dated 18.09.2024 passed in Anant Narayan Rai v. New Delhi Municipal Council & Anr., W.P.(C.) No. 15942/2023, the remedy of the Petitioner lies before the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum ('CGRF') under Section 42(5) of the Electricity Act, 2003. 3.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of granting liberty to the Petitioner to approach the CGRF in accordance with law, making it clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case. In case the Petitioner approaches the CGRF, the said Forum will take up the matter expeditiously, considering that the relief claimed is for restoration of the electricity.
