Learned counsel for the petitioner is not present. 2.

We have heard the learned counsel representing respondent no. 1, 2 and 3.

The issue raised in this petition is in respect of alleged encroachments and certain illegal constructions said to have been raised on public land. 4.

Having regard to the nature of issue raised in this writ petition, we call upon the appropriate authority of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi to look into the matter and consider the grievances raised herein. constructions are said to be existing, shall be conducted and in such survey, if encroachments and illegal constructions are found, the competent authority of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi shall take appropriate action for removal of encroaches and illegal constructions, as may be permissible under law.

We make it clear that in case, any encroachments or illegal constructions are found in the survey to be conducted, as observed above, the competent authority of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi shall take permissible action only after issuing notice to the encroachers and to those who are said to have raised illegal constructions. 6.

In conclusion, we further direct that upon completion of such proceedings, appropriate action which may be warranted under law shall also be taken by the authority concerned.

The petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid observations and directions.
