The present petition under Section 29A(5) & (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed by the Petitioner for extending the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

Material on record indicates that an Arbitral Tribunal was constituted by this Court vide Order dated 08.01.2024, passed by this Court in ARB. P. No.27/2024. Material on record indicates that pleadings were completed on 07.10.2024. The period of one year from the date of completion of pleadings ended on 06.10.2025. It is stated that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has been extended for a period of six months by way of mutual consent. 3.

The extended period of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal would expire on 06.04.2026.

In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that the present Petition is premature.
