This writ petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking a direction to Respondent No.1 to restore possession of Room No. 310, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Hostel, Dr. Zakir Hussain Hall of Boys Residence.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that Petitioner has been removed from his hostel room and having no place to live, he has had to shift with his friend outside the college campus. study books and personal belongings of the Petitioner are locked inside the hostel room and this is creating a hindrance in study, more particularly, because the examinations are round the corner. 5.
Issue notice.

Mr. Pritish Sabharwal, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice on behalf of Respondent No.1. He submits, on instructions, that Petitioner has been allotted Room No.2, Ground Floor in S.R.K. Hostel and this fact is within his knowledge. Insofar as the books and personal belongings of the Petitioner are concerned, it is submitted that the same shall be handed over to the Petitioner within two days from today. In order to put a quietus to the entire controversy which has led to the present writ petition, Mr. Sabharwal fairly submits that Respondent No.1 shall not proceed with the show cause notice.

In light of the stand of Respondent No.1, it is directed that Petitioner will be permitted to shift to Room No.2, Ground Floor in S.R.K. Hostel forthwith and his books and personal belongings will be handed over on or before 18.12.2025. The assurance that the show cause notice will be dropped is accepted and taken on record. Petitioner is cautioned to maintain discipline in the college and the hostel.

Writ petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms along with the pending application.
