This petition is filed seeking quashing of the order dated 20.11.2025 re-fixing the salary and for recovery of alleged excess payment made to the petitioner due to wrong fixation of salary.

The petitioner had superannuated on 31.03.2022 from the post of Professor.

Learned counsel for the respondent on instructions fairly submits that the representation of the petitioner dated 01.12.2025 is under active consideration.

The reliance is placed on the decision of the Supreme Court in State of Punjab v. Rafiq Masih (2015) 4 SCC 334 to contend that the case of the petitioner falls within the categories carved out therein. At this stage, without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of in view of the statement made by the learned counsel for the respondents.

The representation of the petitioner shall be considered in accordance with law within four months from the receipt of the certified copy of the order by passing a speaking order and after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

Needless to say that the petitioner shall be at liberty to avail remedies in accordance with law if aggrieved of the decision.
