This is a petition filed under Section 29A(4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 12 months for concluding the arbitral proceedings and passing the final award.

It is stated that the issue before the Arbitrator are complicated and technical in nature and hence the delay.

For the said reasons, issue notice.

Mr. Kurichh, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent No. 3 and Mr. Saxena, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent No.2 and they state that they have no objection to the petition being allowed.

Respondent No.1 is not even appearing before the Arbitral Tribunal. 6.
For the reasons noted above, I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. The petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of 12 months from today. 7.
