The parties have filed this joint application under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, inter alia, praying that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for making the award be extended. 4.

The learned counsel for the parties state that the arbitration proceedings are at the stage of examination and cross-examination of the witnesses, which is likely to be completed shortly. They further state that the delay in proceedings is not attributable to the Arbitral Tribunal. Considering the above, the application is allowed and the time for making the award is

extended for a further period of six months from today. 5.

The application is disposed of.
