The limited prayer in the present petition is for directions to the learned Family Court for expeditious disposal of the petition filed under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.

The petition was initially filed in Kanpur, the same was transferred to Delhi vide order dated 09.12.2022 passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court. While passing the said order, the Apex Court issued directions to make all the endeavour either for amicable settlement or for early decision in the matter without unnecessary adjournments.

Considering that a lot of delay has occurred since filing of the petition, so much so that even the pleadings are yet not complete till date, the petition is disposed of with directions to learned Family Court to strictly comply with the order dated 09.12.2022 passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court and for the said purpose, take all the requisite steps either for amicable settlement failing which for early decision in the matter.
