O R D E R

The instant petition is for the following reliefs:- "a. Issue an appropriate Writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other Writ/ Order/ Direction thereby directing the Respondent No.3 to expeditiously list, hear & decide the Second Appeal dated 06.02.2025 filed by the Petitioner under Section 19 (3) of the RTI Act, 2005, within a timebound period, as may be deemed fit by this Hon'ble Court, to ensure adjudication strictly in accordance with provisions of the RTI Act, 2005, including imposition of penalty, initiation of disciplinary action wherever warranted;

b. or alternatively issue an appropriate Writ in the nature of Certiorari or any other Writ/ Order/ Direction to the Respondent No.I and 2 to forthwith furnish the complete and certified information as sought by the Petitioner vide her RTI Application dated 18.11.2024; c. pass any other order or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit under the circumstances."

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner confines his prayer to the extent of directing the Central Information Commission (CIC) to decide the pending second appeal with due expedition. He also places reliance on the directions passed by the Court vide order dated 04.12.2025 in W.P.(C) 18433/2025 titled as 'Savitri Devi vs. CPIO, Delhi Jal Board & Anr.'

Having considered the overall facts and circumstances, the Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the instant petition with similar directions as was passed in W.P.(C) 18433/2025.

Let the pending second appeal be decided by the CIC with due expedition, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of the order passed today.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant petition stands disposed of along with all pending application.

The date earlier fixed i.e. 10.03.2026 stands cancelled.
