% 06.10.2016 Petitioner and respondent no.2 are known to each other. A quarrel took place between them on some financial dealings between them, wherein petitioner gave beatings to respondent no.2 resulting grievous injury to him. Initially, FIR No. 30/2016 was registered under Sections 452/323/342/34 IPC, however, in view of the doctors' opinion that injury was serious, Section 325 IPC has been added.

Petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by ASI Dharmvir Singh of police station Uttam Nagar. Respondent no.2 submits that he does not wish to pursue the FIR any further, in view of the

settlement.

Keeping in mind that a quarrel ensued between the friends on some financial dealings wherein petitioner gave danda blow to respondent no.2, in a fit of rage that and both the parties have settled their disputes, in my view no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No. 30/2016 under Sections 323/325/342/452/34 IPC registered at police station Uttam Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. A.K. PATHAK, J.
