This is a petition filed under Section 29A (4) & (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a further period of 6 months for making and publishing the final Award.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, states that the cross-examination of the witnesses is going on and took considerable time. Hence, the delay. 3.

For the said reasons, issue notice.

Mr. Navneet R, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and has no objection to the petition being allowed. 5.

I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. 6.
