The Petitioner is the wife of Respondent No. 2. Respondent Nos. 3 and 4 are her parents-in-law. The parties were married according to Hindu rites and customs and have three minor children from the wedlock. Owing to matrimonial discord, the Petitioner is presently residing separately from the matrimonial home, as mentioned in the memo of parties. The Petitioner's grievance is that Respondents No. 2 to 4 have been extending threats and pressurising her to return to the matrimonial home, as a result of which she apprehends danger to her life and safety. It is urged that in this regard, the Petitioner has addressed a written complaint dated 11th December, 2025 to the SHO, P.S. Nabi Karim, but no effective action has been taken thereon. 2.

to 4, no opinion is expressed on the truthfulness or veracity of the allegations made against them. However, having regard to the apprehension expressed by the Petitioner, and purely as a measure of protection, it is directed that the beat constable of the concerned area shall be sensitised in this behalf. Further, the contact numbers of the concerned Police Station as well as of the beat constable shall be provided to the Petitioner to enable her to approach the police authorities in the event of any threat or apprehension. This order shall not be construed as an expression on the merits of the disputes between the parties.
