By way of the present petition, the petitioner seeks issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent to release the petitioner on parole for a period of sixty days in case arising out of FIR bearing No. 979/2006, registered at Police Station Uttam Nagar, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Section 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC').

Issue notice. The learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State. 3.
