Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no. 1.

Respondent no. 2 Ms. Preeti Verma is present in Court along with her counsel and accepts notice.

Respondent no. 2 has been identified by SI Narender Singh of Police Station Vasant Kunj (South). It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no. 2 were known to each other and now, they have settled their disputes amicably; therefore, FIR No. 361/2014 under Sections 451/354/506 IPC registered at police station

Vasant Kunj (South) and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with petitioner of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and she has no objection in case FIR is quashed against the petitioner.

Affidavit of respondent no. 2 is also on record at page 50, wherein she has stated that she has no objection in case the FIR and the consequent proceedings arising out of the criminal case are quashed. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 361/2014 under Sections 451/354/506 IPC registered at police station Vasant Kunj (South) and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
