This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS), seeking issuance of a Writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the parents of the petitioner and her uncle.

We, in our order dated 09.03.2026, had recorded the submission of the learned Standing Counsel for the State that the parents and the uncle of the petitioner were all along residing with the petitioner, which she intentionally concealed from this Court and from the police as well, thereby misleading the Court and wasting the precious The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. judicial time of the Court and the energy of the police. Since this was refuted by the petitioner, we directed the petitioner to produce her parents before us so that we can interact with them. Since that day, the petition has been listed before us three times prior to today, and on all occasions, on one pretext or the other, the petitioner took an adjournment and the parents and the uncle of the petitioner have not been produced before us. Today again, similar request is made by the petitioner.

While we could pursue and take coercive measures to seek the production of the parents of the petitioner, we do not intend to do so in this petition as this would be a further waste of judicial time. 4.

As admittedly, the parents of the petitioner are now residing with the petitioner and she also knows the whereabouts of her uncle, no further orders are required to be passed in the present petition. 5.

We, however, direct that in case any other or further petition is ever filed by the petitioner regarding the custody or in relation to the parents or the uncle of the petitioner and/or her children, she shall disclose the present order in such petition if filed. 6.
