The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. to seek protection. Status report is on record. 2.
I have heard the learned counsel for the parties and have examined the file.

During the course of arguments, learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State informs that necessary protection as per rules shall be provided to the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner informs that in the meantime the petitioner shall file representation before MHA for providing regular security.

Let such representation, if any, filed by the petitioner be decided on merits by MHA expeditiously.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition. The petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

The petitioner shall be provided necessary protection as per rules. Representation (if any) filed by the petitioner for seeking regular security before MHA shall be decided on merits expeditiously. 8.
