% 18.07.2017 This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. The petitioner seeks production of his wife Dolly, who was taken away by her brother, respondent no.9 Ankit. Today, a status report has been handed over in Court, as per which an FIR bearing no.1000/17 under Section 364 IPC, P.S. Mangolpuri Delhi has been registered on 11.07.2017. It is submitted that during the investigation Ankit @ Anshul S/o Rajpal R/o Village Saadpur, P.O. and P.S. Jansath, Tehsil Khatoli, District Muzaffarnagar, U.P. was arrested on 12.07.2017. During custodial interrogation, accused Ankit @ Anshul confessed to have pushed his sister Dolly @ Saira (wife of complainant) into Gangnahar at Khatoli, U.P. After his disclosure, Section 302 IPC has also been added. It is submitted that further investigation in the case is going on and efforts are being made to recover the dead body of Dolly @ Saira. The State will continue to apprise the petitioner regarding the steps taken
for recovery of the body every two months. In view of the submissions made, present writ petition is disposed of.
